The Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics is designed for students wishing to pursue a multidisciplinary graduate program or career upon graduation.

需求 for the major

I. Departmental requirements:

A. At least 28 credit hours in Physics,包括 the following or equivalent courses: phy - 1111, phy - 1112, phy - 1311 (or phy - 1309), phy - 1312 (or phy - 1310), phy - 2231, phy - 3322, phy - 3323, at least four of the following courses: phy - 3321, phy - 3324, phy - 3325, phy - 3333, phy - 3335, phy - 3412, phy - 4350, phy - 4395 (at least one must be either phy - 3333 or phy - 3335). Senior Thesis students will add phy - 4396. Honors Thesis students will take phy - 3398, phy - 4398, phy - 4399 代替 phy - 4395. Students may substitute 3 hours of the research or thesis course corresponding their concentration (CHEM-3X90, 同上,3X90, or 去找找csci - 4398) 代替 phy - 4395.

B. Math requirements:

C. Seminar Requirement:

Four semesters of phy - 2094. Students may substitute up to 2 semesters of the equivalent seminar courses for their concentration.

D. Completion of Wagner Senior Assessment Exam in fall of the senior year.

II. One of the following options:

A. Computer Science Concentration (at least 15 hours):

B. Chemistry Concentration (at least 14 hours):

C. Applied Physics Concentration (at least 16 hours):

Completion of all other required elements of the Pathways curriculum, 30 upper division hours, at least 120 credit hours.
